1 gaj equals 1 square yard, which is 9 square feet. It is the most common unit used for plot size in North India.
1 cent equals 1/100 of an acre, or 435.6 square feet. It is widely used in Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.
1 acre equals 43,560 square feet, or about 4,047 square metres. 100 cents make 1 acre.
